So can someone confirm the process for using these bolts to jack out the injector?
Is it a case of undoing the top nut, then undoing the bottom nut up to the "plate" in question, then using a torx socket to undo the bolt??

You undo the top nut which clamps the injector down. Then you undo the studs using a (small) torx socket. As they undo they should lift the injector clamp which in turn lifts the injector out of the hole. You MUST do each side a little at a time so that the injector comes out relatively square - it doesn't work trying to take one out, then the other. The nut that's fixed halfway down the stud, underneath the injector flange, should be pushing on the flange as you pull the studs out. If the nut is not already sitting flush against the clamp then I'd suspect the clamp is on upside down as the clamp should sit more or less right on the nut, maybe a small gap but not big.

If you can twist the injector side to side (only needs to be a tiny bit but just enough to show it's not totally seized) then the studs should lift the injector out with no trouble. The ones I've changed came out fine but some people have had really big problems with it.

Bear in mind the studs have limited strength and the torx end can shear off. Leave the top nut on but loosen one turn then you can crank the engine for some extra lift.

Is that safe to do mate? Cheers for clearing up the other bits tho. Maybe I will get my rocker cover gasket done before the MOT!
