Hi Guys,

My apologies if this is not being posted in the right place but this is my first forum post ever! So glad that its here with you. :D

I am looking for some advice, I have the opportunity to buy a Range Rover Vogue and after having driven it for a weekend have definitely enjoyed the comfort and luxury it provides.

However I didnt really pay to much attention to the fuel consumption and was wondering as to how many miles per gallon you should get approximately? It is a 3 litre '03 plate diesel.

Also would parts and servicing be expensive?

Thanks in advance for anyone that takes the time to give me any answers.

Hi there

One word of advice it was once a 50k car so parts and servicing can be expensive unless you can due the work yourself

I have a p38 and love it but it does 16/18mpg around town being a 2.5diesel

The one you are looking at is. L322 and I have no knowledge of them all I can say is I hope you have deep pockets when they go wrong because they can and will but I wouldn't be without mine now

Have a search on forum there is lots of info on then just make sure it has fsh hpi check and check for recalls

14-15l/100km (15.5mpg) in the city and 10l/100km (23.5mpg) on motorways.

aint :googleit: wunderful .

with ref to the info required on the td6 fuel consumption, you wont get much more than 20-25mpg on a run never mind coasting back and forth round town 18+mpg. i personally would advise a v8 l322 running on lpg conversion. you should get 30mpg running on gas and at present lpg is 67p per/ltr as opposed to £1.40 per/ltr for diesel. you also pay less for road tax if car is registered on v5 as multifuel and dont pay any congestion charges in london or any other city that has them in force. personally i wouldn't touch td6 suffer with expensive repairs such as g/boxes £1500+ to repair due to lack of grunt to pull heavy body. having said this if your heart is set on a td6 l322 you will buy one whatever advice!! good luck. p.s full svc history a must and any old bills, mots etc a bonus!!

It sounds like your first Rangie so can I seriously suggest that you either get a Rangie independant or enthusiast to have a good look at it or get an AA or RAC report before you part with any serious beer tokens. At that age you could be looking at replacement suspension bags or compressor and unlike a P38 the costs can be a bit eye watering.

Don't forget that there's always another one out there and after the threat of a snowy winter has passed is often the best time to strike a deal on a 4x4.

well said totally agree

My mates L322 TD6 does 11 litres per 100Km locally and better than 9 litres per 100Km on a run at 110Kph (70 mph)
