hi just need some info on my r38 gearbox. i have converted from auto to manual and on the r38 gearbox there are cooler pipes. is there much pressure to circulate the oil out through to the bog brush cooler type. reason for asking is i have had to cut one return pipe and fit back together with jubilee clips.as it will be road tested soon.

Described in RAVE as a low pressure pump, so probably 25psi max.

It is R380 by the way, not R38

The question is why are u still using the small auto box oil cooler?

well because it does the same job cools the oil i thought this would be ok for manual .i was going to block it off as this is what the breaker at 4x4 place said to do. as i had to source the correct pipes that carry the oil. but i thought well it must need the cooler for the box or they would not fit one. so would that auto rad be ok for the manual box.

peter also does the pump only operate when the vehicle is moveing or on start up.
