Only me again! dont u just love Discos!

When I use the key fob to unlock and lock the car i have to be near enough touching the car and the indicators dont flash.

I have done a quick search and it looks like my battery is on its way out...

Before i go any further would you say that the battery is the problem?
 
I think yu definately aught to go further.



At least as far as Halfrauds and get the battery and alternator tested. Then yu will know for sure.

We could, of course, remotely diagnose your battery, but only if you have the wireless bat121 tester fitted to your vehicle. You may need to crawl underneath to see if it is fitted.
 
the main battery on the car has been replaced 5weeks ago,
Im on about the battery in the key fob.
 
Sounds like a new fob battery needed. If you've got the hand book check for more info.
Also check courtesy light door / tailgate switches and bonnet switch.
 
Amazing that you can buy CR2032 batteries (Panasonic) with year code to 2013 for under a fiver for 12 on ebay, while the local stealer wants £20 to change one!
