My indicator stalk doesn't self cancel, before i purchase a replacement I wondered if this was a common issue that 'They all do that' and its not worth buying a replacement.
Is it much of a job replacing one and whilst I have it apart is there anything else i could change at the same time?

Yes, it's a common problem. A genuine Land Rover replacement indicator and light stalk assembly is under £50. You'll need to pop off the steering wheel and then the covers for the steering column. Then you need to loosen one screw on the stalk assembly, disconnect the wires, and replace with new unit. The thing that breaks is a little "arm" in the assembly that pushes the cancel-rod (if that makes sense).
However, now my indicators auto cancel when I turn right. I.e they cancel whilst indicating right and turning right. They should only cancel if i indicate right and turn left (which they also do). Left works fine. I figured that this is due to how the rubber grommet is pushing on the assembly with force from the cover on the steering column. I've not found a solution to it. Solution might be as simple as carefully positioning the assembly on the steering column centering the grommet. Let me know if you get the same problem and if you managed to solve it.

Thanks TJ, Search just isn't my friend, it always seems to return stuff that isn't relevant to what i'm searching for. The dash is all apart so it should be a fairly simple job, i'll do another search for your thread though.
