Hi. I'm new to Landy's. Got a Discovery 1 300tdi. The problem began with the engine bringing down the revs by itself whilst driving along. As I continued to accelerate the check engine light would come on, however when I took my foot off the accelerator the problem would stop for a brief period, before continuing. Took the car to a garage to find a fix to the problem and now the immobiliser has activated itself. If anyone has any ideas on if the two problems could be related or how to de-activate or by-pass the immobiliser, so that I can fix the rev problem and get back on the road it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

If you have a passive immobilising system it will activate itself and immobilise your engine.
So remobilise the engine with a functioning fob or by using your emergency access code.
Load of info in the Forum as stated above, also in the owners handbook.

Can't help with a diesel as I never even seen one, but u may have a problem with a sensor to the EDC system if fitted.

And :welcome2: to the forum
