After a good days welding on the bulkhead, I finshed off by re-fitting the bolt that connects the bulkhead to the windscreen frame. BUT... I over tightened it, and snapped off one of the allminium flanges, that the bolt compresses onto..

I've managed to secure it... just.

But, I'm struggling to find a more permanent soluition to fixing it.

I've got a mig welder, how difficult would it be to weld it back on ( I've never welded Aluminium before)?

Otherwise, have you got any other sugestions?

Take it to an ally welding specialist, shouldn't cost much, but there again how much is a new un.

mmm, might be the best best.

How much would a windscreen frame cost?... if it came to it

you will need to TIG weld really

Think I'll take it down to a ally welder.....

And when the next day is Sunday. If your a Rangie driver it's called "the law of maximum cussedness" or if you drive a Defender "Sods law".
