Hi All
My 2000 Freelander 2.0l has a distinct "whirr" noise if you rev it and let the revs drop. I'm pretty sure its not the alternator bearing. Is there an idler roller that could have a noisy bearing, as it seems to be coming from that side of things?
If there is an idler roller there is it a direct replacement or does it affect cambelt tension? If its the latter then I may as well change the cambelt at the same time UI suppose?
Access wise I assume I can just remove the o/s/f wheel and the inner plastic panel and get to it from there?
Thanks in advance for any advice/tips etc.
Dave
