Do freezing conditions have an effect on aluminium?

This morning I have trekked through the snow (ice) to the car, and gone to open the door and the corner of the handle has snapped.... I can't open the door from the outside, the other door lock has a different lock that i don't have the key for.......

Looks like no work today...

When I do eventually get in, I am assuming any range rover classic or discovery 1 or 2 handle will fit?
 
I had to break into mine yesterday as I managed to lock myself out with the engine running and my phone and everything locked inside!
It was far to easy to do!

Not unless it's been improved, but maybe it might be worth considering next time, although for 76 squids you won't want a next time.;)

What you mean all Disco's arnt cozzy in there very own garage with a little heater at night!!!!!! Only kidding mine started this morning no probs she had 3inches of snow seriously!! Chilterns. but the door was frozen shut, i really had to yank her it sounded really bad.
