Anyone else being bothered by BT telling you, "guess what you are being changed to Digital Voice"
Which for us ain't a problem, we already have it over here and it is great in that broadband data is unlimited and phone calls to any landline in Frogland and 100 other countries, including the UK, are also free.
Of course BT will not be so generous.
BUT then we are told an appointment has been made for Open flipping Reach to come and mess about with boxes, drilling holes etc, it'll take about 3 hours and WE ORDERED IT. (to give us full fibre broadband. )

No we flipping didn't!!!

We already have the sort of hub it'll work through.
Why the heck can't we just put the phone plug in the back of the hub on the appropriate day just as we do over here? We don't have full fibre here and it works just fine.
It isn't at all clear when they are going to stop copper or anything, and trying to contact BT sends you round in ever decreasing circles.
So frustrating.
So far I have changed the appointment date and time to one when we will actually be in the country.
I am convinced that they will stiff us with a "package" that'll cost even more than we pay at the moment.
When I think that the same thing over here costs us just €22 per month.:mad::mad:

I believe the copper goes obsolete in January. Ours was upgraded to fibre earlier this year.
