...and the noos is.....

that the Pluriel is all back together, headlight mended and body panels replaced, the "stitch in time" has been done and just awaiting the sosses and chips to cook!!

Don't ask me how I mended the headlight mounting as honestly i have no idea how I did it. The bit that is supposed to hold the fulcrum of the clip and is one of the two legs of the shade, and was originally stuck down, just clicked into place and despite the law of probability has stayed there. So all is back together again in time for tomorrow's expected rain.

Also went shopping this a.m.

Met a bloke with a sort of @kevstar story. We, another blerk and I, were admiring his 2cv, which was flipping immaculate.
It turned out he sort of got left it. The original owner who had bought it from new, knew that said blokey loved it, it spent most of its time in its garage having only 46 k kms on its clock. So when he died his son discovered that he had left a note saying that it was only to be sold to the bloke we were talking to.

So he got it for €2800. MAD!!! It looked as if it had just been driven out of the showroom.

Prices for 2CVs are crazy.

Also went and saw our Dutch friends after having done t'shopping. They have recently replaced their ageing VW van with another slightly more modern one, still 2004 but one owner and the garage that sold it to them had known it all its life, looks fab. So Hans is busy swopping all his kipping and cooking stuff over from the old one, but nothing fits easily due to changes in the model between thisn and his other one that was a bit older, about 6 years. So he needed a 50 torks bit. By chance, well with the Pluriel beeing up on axle stands, we were in the Disco which is where I keep all my car tools, so I could lend him the bit and a 3/8th drive socekt for it and a small breaker bar. For a guy who does tons of serious house DIY he has pitiful few car tools.

They have also bought a car only 1 year old. My stars there must be money in being artistic!.
So good day had.
Now awaiting the storm so the Wifi will have to go off. have a good night folks!
