yeah ithink 250 for a bumper would be fine if i was gonna winch off it but thats 45% of what i paid for the car!Do you need a rear bumper?my end caps have come off and the angle grinder has got rid of any sharp edges for the mot man.Did originally pass with eleccy tape over the ends.

Rear bumper's not too bad only a couple of small dings in it, I just can't wait to get rid of those nasty bumper end caps and f/bumper valance.
I've seen a Disco with these HD bumpers on and it totally changes the look, much better imho

yeah gotta agree, but with the classic the front valance isnt part of the bumper. My end caps is somewhere on the a14 and in bures pay n play!

I've gone back to standard bumper, no valance and cut down end caps ... IMHO looks a lot nice, less aggressive.

First pic is modded bumper, second pic is as it is now.

Modded bumper is from Guardian, check on ebay. Got it for £119 in their sale ... sold it for £122 ... ;)

Thats a good looking bumper and a decent price, why you take it off?

I liked it to start with, but the holes that fitted it to the chassis were a bit big, 16mm dia, and the bolts only M10 or M12 (can't remember) and first time I used a Hi-lift it shifted slightly ... didn't inspire me with confidence. And yes, they were tightened as tight as tight things should be .. ;) I took a pic of the marks left on the plate, but can't find it. I suspect actually that the washers had bent into the holes causing it to lose tension allowing it to slip. Also the Spotlight fittings were also extremely sharp and fitted, IMHO, in the wrong place, dented bonnet when the bumper moved.

And I started to think it didn't look good, really. I couldn't tidy up where the endcaps go properly, everything started to look home-made, so went back to modded original .. ;)

Yeah I thought about removing the valance recently but the bumper looks awful with the end caps hanging down (already got one held on by a cable tie:rolleyes:)
