You saying V8's don't swim?? I might have something to say about that, coz mine does and it sounds great too!!
now we can start making this fred worthy of its place in the V8 sexsion...
what have you done to it to make it swim??? I really want to stop mine chugging at the first sign of a puddle and idealy I wanna keep up with the oil burners on the plains (when they're open again)

How I did it is quite easy. I have a home made snorkle, the dizzy is sealed with RTV Silicon, viscous fan is replaced with electric (switched off for water) and my door seals are in reasonable shape. I have a plastic splash guard in front of the dizzy and the coil is wrapped in a plastic bag. All the leads are in good shape and sprayed with wd40.
The only things you need to watch are that after deep water you take the dizzy cap off and wipe away any condensation then give it a spray of WD ( or you can vent the dizzy cap), make sure you give your alternator a good spray with wd before and after swimming. Simple really.
