If the steering, the handbrake cable, and the subsequent fire wasnt enough, today the disco wouldnt start.
And whilst toodling up the m56, the temp gauge, rev counter and speedo were raving to a tune i wasnt listening to on radio 2.
We think its a bad earth, which is stopping the starter motor from engaging and ****ing about with the dials, and the central locking interface.

I swear, by almighty god, if this earth becomes a problem its going, up for sale, gone.
Ive spent close to 2.5 k on her over the last 3 months to get her how i wanted, i refuse to bow to anymore.
She works tomorrow or she goes, Shogun here i come..................

Lenny I know the feeling mate mine went in yesterday for a head gasket (£500) they told me the head needed skimming (£100) when they pressure tested it it turns out to be cracked so it's new head time (£1080). I could have been a **** and told them to put it all back together and passed the problem onto someone else but I have a heart and I'm having the job done properly, I wanted to keep the disco for a couple of years but throwing this kind of money at it compaired to £28 for a battery in four years of owning a Pajero somewhat knocks the wind from one's sails. Lenny you'd have to get used to stopping at Shell (gayton) then BP (neston) then Shell (neston) then Gordale (service station) to refill just to get to Two Mills, I don't miss mine now I'm thinking about it, think i'm going to keep the landy now and spend all my savings on it cos I've never had it so peacefull.

You right about fuel consumption and thats for a diesel. Just wait until you need some spare parts you will have to remorgage the house. you could be really lucky and find the parts are not available. d0nt try to off road as you will remain so as they have no dif locks. Then you realise you have the freewheel hubs engaged and find yourself up to the ears in mud and water. while you disengage them . | When this dosnt help your bogged down Hi Tech Stereo Japanese warrior. You will have to get even dirtier scrambling out of the mud to find the local farmer and get him to tow you out of the mess with guess what his Land Rover. Wake up Lenny . Some people do have such funny dreams .

Right, the clutch is now sorted, the slave cylinder was full of what can only be described as jelly. Put new slave and master on it, and voila it slips into gear smoother than Gary Glitter at an all boys school.

As for the earth, re-wired one from the battery to the body as none of the usuals looked shot, and its now spot on.
My car is staying now, so this thread can end here.
