hi thank you for replying I have a range rover sport 2.7 I cant undo the crank bolt ???
iv tried everything
Right, first off, you'd be better posting a thread on the Rang Rover (Sport?) part of the forum, people may be watching that and not this.
Secondly, I don't have one and never have done, but i've undone a few crank bolts in my time.
So, does the crank turn in a clockwise direction and is the bolt a normal right hand thread?
If so, there is a rather brutal seeming way of doing it.
Make sure if you turn the engine over on the key, the car cannot start, find a suitable relay or something to pull, (you haven't said if it is diesel or petrol, I don't evn knw if RR sports were ever made in diesel form, ) so disable it.
Put a socket and breaker bar together, and find a postion to put it in so that the breaker is sticking out horizontally to the right when you put the socket on the crank bolt.
Position an axle stand just under the end of the breaker bar.
Flick the engine over on the key.
The breaker bar will hit the axle stand and shock the bolt loose. Or it should.
I am assuming you have tried heating it a bit to free off the Loctite?
Failing this, and if there is no room to do this, there is a special tool you can buy which will do the job, only trouble is I don't know what it is called, I'll have a quick search and see if I can find it for you.
there it is

and someone suggested removing the mpi fuse, dunno what that is, multi port injection? Does your car even have one?
Search with "how do i disable starting on my 2.7 Range rover sport? on google and you'll find a way of doing it.
Search engines do work but you need to ask them precise questions!
Best of luck
