My girlfriend is pregnant, and this means I may have to sell my 109, I was thinking of puttin three seat in the back and putting a window in and make it like a big hatch back but would this work?!? If not I may have to sell and buy something like a punto :/. IDEAS PLEASE

Is it a 2 door 109?. If so you will have to fit bench seats in the back on the sides. You can change the sides on the hardtop to solid or sliding windows

As above...its a cheap job. Craddocks have the seats in stock or find good used on ebay. You may wish to fit lap belts but not compulsory.

keep the landy, even if you get a cheap second car.

However you can put seats in the back of your landy if you like... plenty of different styles about (bench, folding forward facing, folding sideways etc) and you can either swap your side panels for ones with windows, or buy a sliding window kit and fit them yourself.

Put the child up for adoption, and keep the Land Rover. The Land Rover wont cost as much to keep for 18 years.:D:D:D
A chap I know, spent a lot of money on his 109, new chassis (Coil) New axles 200tdi engine. Then his partner had a baby, he did a lot more work himself then, fitted a second bulkhead, second set of doors and seats in the rear for the baby seat, ideal comromise for him, but would you want to go to all the expense?

that sounds like my life a bit... all thout i chanced also the defender front, hood, grille, engine etc... needs air con next!

What do we reckon I I found someway of putting a row of seats in the back and lock and slide front seats, and maybe carpets throughout? I really would do anything so I don't have to sell big Brenda ....

put a bit of carpet in the back, get a minibus seat or similar with a 3 point belt, bolt it in the back, jobs a good un :D

I reckon I could fit 3 comfy seats in the front and then after a while get the missus a car but how would this be with a baby seat?!?

I love the idea about the minibus seat though!!!

minibus seats are easy to fit, theres loads about cheap and there very sturdy,i have a defender 90 truck cab,if i have a baby i would fit the centre seat and put the baby seat there :D

remember all children traveling in a car have to be seated in a forward faceing seat useing a 3 point harnes ....babys have to be in those carry jobbys and then older ones have to have a booster seat untill 11 or a set hight / weight ....bear this in mind when fitted after market seats .....
