I have a problem with the steering on a p38 1998 - work done new track rod ends new drag link new steering damper new shocks new springs new poly bushes all round new swivell bearings - problem is that the car feels as if there is no directional stability I have tried 2 sets of wheels and tyres same problem and this problem is not the same two days running ie I can travel on the same road and the problem is there one day gone the other - maybe i should only drive it every other day ?
Play in the steering wheel with ignition on and and engine off is less than an inch with the engine running it is 3 to 4 inches - is this possible to the power steering fluid being contaminated or is there some other recognised prob any help much appreciated.
