Well still no luck. Today I went to my landy dealer who was really good actually surprised. He tried to recode both my keyfobs for nothing. Then advised that one fob is goosed and one is a bit intermittent. He advised trying to fix the locks as he thinks one is not locking probably - probably the back door as it only unlocks with the key not remote. Price for a new key fob is 45 but said he would code any second hand one. well we will see if the rain ever stops ill get out to look at the locks and start removing door panels. Did try to persuade the missus to go for the new defender 110 in the showroom!!

Well after playing with all the locks, spider bypass, disconnecting and wiggling wires and reconnecting. Cleaning up terminals etc and finally going to land rover for a new key and coded (£56 - not bad) it seems as if I have a fully functioning disco again. I still really hate electrics but if it can stay problem free I can maybe start on my V* disco rebuild project that has been sitting im my drive for a year now!
