Why?

Because my D2 is in a garage. Having a new OEM auxbelt fitted, new rear brakepads, and swapping the spare wheel back on.

Other jobs need doing and I can't do them.

Why?

Because I cannot lift the wheel and put on the door. I cannot put enough force on a spanner.

Bloody tendon at my elbow is very painfull and I cannot even lever myself up off the floor. Let alone use a breaker bar.

aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few weeks ago. I was using a windy gun to undo some 24mm bolts that had been in for 30yrs. They were that stuck they burnt the bushes out on the gun. So.it took 3 of us with a 10ft scaffold pole to pull them out.

There's a world of difference between being incompetent and just unable because of an injury.

Left arm out of action, cannot push at all.

I rekon tiling did it!
I'll be joining you I reckon. Just carried 63 sheets of plasterboard in. Half of em fireboard or acoustic board. All on me left hand. It'll be fooked. Tomorrow.

Just tested, left arm can lift Westons vintage perfectly well.

But good job my keyfob repairs are doing well, money for garage and I have just bought a caliper.

You passed the pint test. Sorted. The rest will come in it's own good time. Don't force it or it'll take even longer !!
Your advice is as valuable to numpties like me as you value your own work. Thanks

Well with the issues I have had over the last few years I am glad I just have to sit at a desk and think very hard.

Bad fall which hurt back.
Operation on toe as it went under another, pinned straight (my children will probably need this when adults)
Appendicitis
Tendonitis on ankle
Damaged shoulder after accident which wrote off my last car
Pulled tendons now in elbow

And I still haven't managed to get a series as the car I was going to use as my main car got bananaed.

I wanted a LR for years but room and money conspired against me, but when I was car hunting I looked round whole dealerships thinking boring. And was considering a damaged engine car when I decided on a Discovery. LR experience pushed it forwards.
