I am putting off changing the timing belts ,tenssioner and water pump and bits until the clutch feels like it NEEDS to be done .

I changed the engine at 170 for a 40-50 k engine a few years ago . I am even putting off giving it its usual 5-6k service .

The whole cost and making a complete shopping list and lack of daytime , is making me a bit lazy .

And the occasional threat of bailifs coming round if I don't pay off a bit overdue credit union or lekky bills . :fencing: .

Time to take your head out of the sand. It will all catch up with you.

Being skint is a bitch int it

Had a morning in court . Credit unions solicitors were trying to claim I owed €4838 and a bit . I rang the CU last week and asked for statement and balance €4169 . The credit controller in the credit union reckoned I needn't worry or bother going to court some day 2 weeks ago .That same day when I got home the letter,claiming I owed 4838 was waiting for me .

This morning I rang the solicitors , to find out how they calculated their sums and to make sure they weren't going ahead with the case . She seemed to be making out I might be a bit slow . I flipped and gulped the last of my cup of coffee and threw with extreme anger, the empty cup at the wall .

I had been paying off €90 a month and have agreed to drop it to 40.

When the case was called I said yes I could manage the 40 a month but was contesting the total amount . I was fuming and the judge seemed to find this amusing and that it seemed I might have a point . The solicitor was just standing in for this solicitor firm and reckoned I have a valid case .

If any one has a shopping list for clutch kit and timing belts and any other bits and bobs needed for 98 L series . I want to do the whole lot at once in a day . or 2 . Thanx .

Sorry to hear what ? all is A OKay and life is great . I'm not so far off the 5k service .Its on 196k ,and looking at my sig reminder , all is good .

I am quite worried about timing belts and dreading the job. I have NCT(national car test) our MOT on the 26th ,costs €60 .Paid rent today €500 . My motor tax is up end of Feb €180 for 3 months iirc . My insurance is up mid April . :rofl:
