hi just noticed a humming noise from the near side ,it seems to increase in volume at about 60 mph dont know if its front or rear .i think it could be a wheel bearing but being a plasterer im not sure, could it be anything else?.is there somthing to grease? its a td5 2001 auto .thanks for any help arv

I stand to be corrected but you can tell if it is a bearing if the noise changes i.e go away or get quieter/louder if you turn a corner.

However, if you have self levelling suspension, you will have an air compressor just under the passenger seat; if you have an air leak in the system the compressor runs all the time and WEARS OUT REALLY QUICKLY !!!!!!!

So do you have springs or airbags at the back?
