The Discovery is not the only vehicle I own.
I have a 1989 Peugeot 309 which I'm currently in the early stage of a nut & bolt restoration. It's hardly the most exciting car ever made, but it has been in the family for so long it is almost become like a member of the family. It was also the last car my dad ever drove before he passed away very suddenly age just 46 back in 2008.
I've worked for companies in Denmark, Germany and Holland and my 309 has been to these countries with all my stuff in the boot several times.
My Disco will be great for moving this around when needed over the next few months (i.e on a trailer from my garage to the body shop etc) if I can borrow a trailer.

My other car is a 1988 Peugeot 205 1.6 auto.
This car cost me £25. It had been stood for over 5 years on Hull's Queen Elizabeth Docks but was in remarkably good condition. Never been welded and with just 53,000 on the clock. All I've had to do to it is refurbish the brakes (siezed), fit a new battery and a good service. There was a few niggly electrical faults with the brake lights and front electric windows, but I nearly have everything sorted now. It passed it's test on the second attempt last year and has been my daily driver until I purchased the Discovery last week. I also intend to fully restore the 205 in the future.
And last but not least, I own a 125cc two stroke Minsk.
Minsk was a Russian make which was imported into the UK during the 70's and 80's. They where never particularly popular as they where so behind the times and old fashioned, even by 1980's standard. Kick start only, had pre-mix oil + petrol, drum brakes front and rear, slow, dynamo electrical system & smoked like a motherbitch. They where basic, but very solid bikes and so easy to work on.
My Minsk was bought new by a chap in Healing, near Grimsby, in 1986. He used it infrequently until 1990, when he decided to attempt to de-coke the cylinder head. For some unknown reason he removed the head but never did anything else to it. It remained untouched in his garage until 2011 when it was 'rediscovered' as the owner was clearing out his garage (now retired with failing eye sight). I purchased it on ebay and have since rebuilt the engine (replaced piston + rings) and have had it running. Just a few little jobs left to do before I will put it through it's test. There is less that 1,700 miles on the clock!!!!

I've been very lucky with the Minsk because I accidentaly got in touch with one of the guys who worked for Cossack all them years ago on a bike forum. He used to assemble the bikes and test them when they arrived in the UK from Russia. He's sent me a number of dealer manuals, owners hand books and parts list books (all in English) which are super rare and have been very helpfull. I've had no problem with spares - I've been ordering them from a guy who has an online shop in Romania. Even with shipping costs the parts are still very cheap (new piston & rings cost me £9.00).
My Minsk came with the original handbook and even the recept / bill of sale from the dealer.
