Other option is to get a length of 4x2 timber, bore into end to insert breaker bar to a reasonable depth and use that in place of scaffold pole

I went up my friendly Indy round the corner and got one of the lads to whip it off with the whizzy gun. Left them a tip and nipped it up enough to get home. They hammered it back up afterwards too. Saves a lot of effing about.What a b**ch.
