I just tightened mine enough to settle the bearing. Gave the wheel a couple of spins, then backed off, then tightened until there was no free play. I torqued the second nut to whatever the recommendations were (around 64nm I think).

I've checked the wheels a few times since then and there's no play or sign of them falling off.

Ps. If I never post again, it means my wheels fell off at 70mph.
