Before any minds go wondering its still range rover related , how stiff should a borg warner vcu be , i can't get a definitive answer so I'm hoping someone can help ! many thanks in advance ! smithy
Trust you to be the first to answer this post, glad to see its all in your memoryApply 27 Nm of torque to output flange nut with transfer box in neutral. VCU should move 90 degrees in one minute as i remember it.
THANK YOU ! wammers !
So not as stiff as you thought eh.Just checked, my memory is obviously not up to much. Apply a clockwise torque of 27 Nm to output flange nut. If no resistance is felt unit is duff. If resistance is felt apply a clockwise force of 20 Nm to flange nut for one minute in that time unit should move 25 to 30 degrees.
So not as stiff as you thought eh.![]()
No, if it only moves 25 to 30 degrees with slightly less torque stiffer than i thought. There is something else that is not as stiff as it used to be but can't for the life of me think what it is.![]()
