in the next few months i will have 2 spare td engine lying arround...

i have looked on ebay and they are on there for £200+ but surely they not worth that much!!?

anyone sold one recently?
 
Cant be worth 200 as a TDI is not much more.
Got to be worth a 100 just for spares assuming its okay.

lynall - on which planet ... ebay seems full of muppets who will happily pay 500 quid for an untested 200tdi !

the days of cheap cheap like the budgie discos seem to be gone :(

Cough,just got a 95 300tdi disco for a mate,taxed and moted for £550:D

Tere are 1 or 2 if you look about in other places - mostly with galatic milage.

Sold 2 on ebay last yr minus the starters ( as they fit the 200 ) , guy from france bought them for just over a hundred , aparently he ran a buisiness stripping and rebuilding them - then flogging them on the continent .
Fair play i say i just wanted shot of them :) .
 
hmm, i think il stick em on.. either that or bolt em together and make an inline 8 powered somehting! ;-0
 
one has a pretty new fuel pump. not sure on the condition of that one but its not as bad as mine and mine isnt that bad really i dont think..
 
Well one is out, it appears to be one of the ones made in 1989 that are good. A few bits tweaked to last longer?
 
There seems to be some mathematical formula involved where the price doubles as they go up the scale..

N/A £50
TD £100
200TDI £200

Of course you start with £25 for a 1.8 petrol

hi karlos well as a engine man id say if you can get 200 for each go for it ,only if ur happy to sell at that price ,are they good ? if in doubt ,break them into bits ie 4 injectors 20 quid ,starter 40 ,water pump 35, psp 30,altenator 25,turbo 75 ,manifolds 50 and 20 ,head 70,block 100, crank 80 ect ect plus timing cover 70 complete ,but be flexible with prices ,if some one says thats to much ask em for an offer and if you think its ok sell it its up to you my friend if in doubt give us a call ,im under boscolandrover,cheers and good luck .bob
 
Cheers for the rePly fella, I can't really split em as I don't have the space to store the bits! If you kno of anyone who wants one let me kno, I will be taking mine out soon too!
