just got a set of filters to do a service on my m reg 300tdi but ive just randomly been told that they have 2 fuel filters and 2 oil filters? i cant find more than one am i missing something??

Hi Matt, on a Tdi300, there is an engine oil filter, a fuel filter, an air filter and if it's auto a gearbox oil filter.

In addition there is a fuel sedimentor towards the rear of the vehicle which needs cleaning periodically.

I buy my filters form Paddock Spares - Land Rover, Range Rover Parts & Accessories - Discovery, Defender and Freelander, all 3 filters for about £7 - bargain.

Been using them for 4 yrs now with no problems whatsoever.

Just bought my filters from Pads too. Not fitted em yet but will let you know how they are. The only disco I know of with 2 oil filters is the Td5 which has a standard oil and a centrifugal filter. But defo clean out your sediment one infront of the fuel tank cos it will be full of gunge if its not been done before.

cheers lads, i was toppin me oil up an some old fella walked past stopped and started gabbin to me about lannys, sayin that my one should have 2 oil and 2 fuel filters, thought i was goin mad when i couldnt find them, saw my sediment filter when boot floor came out at weekend wish i had done it then while it was easy to get to, i got a set of new britpart filters of ebay for 13quid delivered iirc so not to bad for oil, air and fuel will try paddocks next time. thanks again
