Have just looked at booking a ferry crossing to France (Xmas booze cruise) and there is a height restriction of 1.83m

Does anyone know what the height of the car is for each of the air suspension settings on a P38 as I cant find anything listed. I think I might have to crawl in on the stops but would prefer not to.

Just for info, I don't have roof rails.

thanks in advance for any help

1.83 Meters converts to 6ft so you will be ok..

I took mine to Holland not so long ago and put it 'as under 1.85m' and it was fine ;)

Thanks Tim, nice to get a sensible answer occasionally, but hey I should've known better asking daft questions on here.

Did you use Motorway setting when boarding the boat, or standard ride height?

I left it standard.. The ferries tend to be ok to be honest.. If your driving on and they ask you to go on the sides, just make sure there is nothing overhanging you can get caught on.. There are a few cars out there that are not far off RR height so I wouldnt worry at all.. ;)

Hiya Tim

Book it on as std
i did so with the eurorail last june no problem

does it make a difference moneywise?

I am looking at one of these special cheep offers and all it says is a vehicle must be less than 5m long and 1.83m high to qualify. It's booked on as a 4x4 and within those limits. I think i'll be ok with it, might just drop it to 'motorway' to be safe.

:D

They wont have a measuring tape or anything, you will be fine, honestly..

They use the height thing to stop Transits etc
