I need to change my rear crossmember, and was hoping to buy the type with extensions and cut and weld it without removing the rear tub, has anyone else done this? how easy does the floor come out?

Hi

I have removed my floor to replace my rear cross member and repair the top of my chassis to make a proper job. The only problem i have go now is finding a new floor as my floor had rotted in places due to the dog P~ss from the gun dog it use to carry around.

i used my black and decker power file to take the top of the rivets off and a good drill to remove the easy ones. took 10 min.

i didnt bother removin the tub to do the x member on my 90. you can get good enough access from the wheel arch if you have a ramp.

ffs its not a hard job to remove the tub
