I've just replaced a leaky transfer box output seal on a Discovery 1 and had to fit new brake shoes as the old ones were soaked in oil.
I've tightened up the adjuster nut on the drum and wound it back about a turn, can't hear any scuffing from the shoes inside the drum, and five clicks are need to get the handbrake full on rather than three it is recomended to be, so the hand brake is not adjusted to tight.
Why does the drum get hot when driving a few miles. By hot I mean just too warm to keep your hand on it.
Help what's going on here??
Tony
