I was checking my wheels today, jacked up the front, no play in wheel as u pull top to bottom (vertical) but there is a noticeable amount if u rock the wheels horizontally left to right.

If it was vertically (up and down) i would suspect swivel or bearing.

But im unsure what the left to right movement is and how to sort it.?

ball joint-get someone to work the play and look at joints-if you find nothing wrong then steering box may need adjusting
