Hmmm... Just bought a brand new All Comms from a member on FFRR site for £110.00 delivered. He assured me that it was a genuine RSW unit and comes with software. If he is telling porkies though... :mil18:

peer pressure from the other bluebeasty
I suppose it does resynchs- does an All Comms do resynchs?!

why is the seller selling a brand new all comms ???

make sure you get the receipt with it otherwise you wont be able to activate and use it !

Apparently he bought three in Canada- we will see. If it doesn't work then I will raise a dispute with PayPal- but fingers crossed!

No resync with the All Comms as the L322 doesn't require it!

Also if it is the genuine article, you will need to register the software using the email addy it was purchased with before you can use it.....

Hi Chaps - Quick one from Wiltshire

Sorry to ask a 'Newbie' question here. I have an 07 L322. Should I invest in one of these? if so where's the best place to get one?

Ta!

All Comms only serves the BMW era of Range Rover...2002-2005.

Yous uses Ford/Jaguar electronics and the All Comms isn't compatible....

Bet it's a Chinese clone, give away is that it comes with software, you normally download the software. No doubt it will work but you will not get updates and beware of going on line with it as Storey may be able to disable the software if you try an update.

Thing is Data, there not really Chinese copy's.....

It's a standard USB to OBD cable that can be bought for £10 and absolutely no modifications are made to storeys software to get it to work with the USB cable.

So anyone can do the same.

I have tried it myself and it does work fine.

The software update is easy to get past... Just disable Internet when using it.

Shame storey didn't make an encryption connection so that it only works with his own USB adapter ...

At the end of the day, the software was free to use and download for anyone.

That's interesting, SW spent a lot of time developing what is a micky mouse piece of hardware that has some decoding/encryption hardware in it. If you can use any old OBD cable, the the project is dead, he will not sweat his balls off developing the software for no return.
Shame for the guy, he worked hard to try to help but didn't count on human nature throwing his efforts back in his face.

Got the device last night- plugged it in and it does everything I need it to. When was the last time that SW did an update?
I have an injector fault- as expected- however it does not specifiy which cylinder- is this normal?

What is the fault code??

How can one tell if it is genuine?
It was late last night- but I don't seem to remember a code next to the fault- will it display it immediately or do you need to dig deeper?
