Grrrrrr

Hi all,

I've been posting on here for a month or so now and a thought occurs to me. When I post up a query I usually get a deluge of responses, all with good ideas to try. This is great. However, it'd be even better if I could go away and try them then come back and mark which answer(s) were right (or wrong). The people responding would then maybe gain points (like a well know auction site) with number correct, wrong or neutral. Also, we could track what things tend to happen most of the time (although RF issue, synch issue, airbags knackered and oil leek would probably come out on top!) That way people would have a better idea which suggestion to start with based on most common faults and respondents "rating".

Good idea? Is it even possible? I've no idea what sort of software or whatever these forums work on but I'm pretty certain Microsoft forums have something similar.

Best thing when you've been told a raft of answers is to post back and just say what worked for you, thanking as appropriate. In many cases there isn't just one answer, a combination of answers works, so how would you rate that?

KISS ... ;)

Mark each one that's correct! So far my issues have been single liners. Maybe P38s aren't so bad after all!

it boils down to you particular problem, they arent always generic....same as the fix isnt always generic. violent steering wheel wobble for example, one problem atleast 4 different causes, so youd have a bunch of people listening to advice based on a score that may not be the cause of there problem even though the same symptoms

wot is it wiv everyone wanting to leave ratings or feedback lately? Id be fudged if that comes in.

I guess the newbies think it's an impersonal medium, without realising that there are many of us on here that actually meet in person and actually know people in real life! They want a cross between Facebook and ebay, but totally safe and sterile ...
