I think its called the hill climb light is on when all the rest of the lights go out.
The gearstick has a slide which also has a switch at the front... I am wondering if there is a sensor that perhaps breaks that needs replacing?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, faulty switch or even pushed down. Does it flash when you are in anything other than first or reverse?
