Hi,
A couple of us go up to Drumclog every couple of weekends, the site is out the back of strathaven on the A71, Directions would be to take the M74 to Junction 8, go stright through the round about and keep on going through Stonehouse then Strathaven after about 5-10miles you will see the sign post for Drumclog it's about 2 mins drive from there. The site is open every day of every week and it costs £20 per vehicle. The terrain is superb
It's got everything from forrest sections, river runs from a stream to about 5 foot depth, steep hills, large ruts, bogs etc etc. If you fancy coming out for a day we could meet up with you and show you around.
Both pictures were taken at the Drumclog site, plenty more pics where they came from. I'll post some later when i have more time.

good work sir, surely u must have a favourite between the rangie and the 90? y u run both off road?

Davey, give me a shout when your ready and i can meet you up at Drumclog and show you around the site (It's massive!!!)
They were both bought as toys for off roading only, the only reason they are on the road is the travelling to and from the off road sites.
I luv both the vehicles in different ways, the rangie is so comfortable and quiet compared to the Defender and the V8 engine sounds so sweet, i bought the RRC first and when i bought it there was allot of work required to get it back running sweet again, that was one of the reasons i bought it, i'm always fooling about with 4x4's, Motorbikes etc.. etc..
On the other hand the Defender is more capable off road and the fuel econ is 2-3 times better (it's a 300Tdi). Because of it's good condition i have not had to work much on it so i haven't become as attached to it as the RRC
I would still have to say i prefer the Defender though, as 99% of my time is spent off the road and it's king there (in my eyes).
Plus it looks the muts nuts with the tyres, snorkel etc..
