Well not new TD4, but we just bought a 2004 Freelander TD4 3 door hardback. Joined this forum as we have literally owned the car a week (bought from a vauxhall main dealer) and already we have taken i back. The car has been there for four days now.

Love the car, but find it was very under powered, foot to the floor and very little happens until it gets going, but last week on a cold morning it was turning over, but just not firing up...I think i could hear a whirring sound from near the fuel filler cap...fuel pump? this kept going for around an hour once the car eventually started. Hope they can sort the car

Good luck with getting it sorted. If the Vauxhall place can't do it then either demand they take it to a LR dealer or return it under the sale of goods act and find another one - drastic but I expect they're not over familiar with your vehicle

Ulucky mate, i'm sure once its sorted you'll be fine, or you could just get a 90/110
