Hi Folk
finally purchased a much sought after 110 CSW 300tdi, shipped a low mileage baby over from Belfast.
have been a visitor to the site taking useful tips on the work ive been doing on her, so i thought i'd join.
work to date includes new fuel tank, springs and dampers, winch bumper and winch, and welding replacement door frame sections to all five doors,
im looking for a replacement front axle as the one fitted is quite rusty and ive already had to mig a few porous spots on the diff pan,
i want to sand back the areas on the doors etc where the electrolytic bubbling has cased the paint to flake as im sure youre all familiar with, and repaint.
has anyone got experience as to what is the best method and primer to use?
ive had a local garage mix me some red paint to match the LR code so its just a case of feathering in (he says hopefully).
any how will try to post some pics and look forward to hearing from you guys !!
