I've seen an hilift mounted under the rear seats in a disco. with foot pointing down it doesn't actually take up that much space and doesn't get in passngers way.

Did this work?
I know the Jack should be red, but I like yellow.

As for snagging branches, we are well known for our deep and dence forrestation, here.
However if you mean the "wires" then they stop the wings from dropping off at the front and rubbing on the floor:rolleyes:

:D Who said anything about being parked, I own a Disco a Land Rover and I was waiting for the AA. Your Honnor:D

I like to keep mine out of the way

I had originally thought about this idea of mounting the jack on the bonnet, however in seriously mudy conditions i can imagine it would get totally ****ted up and then it would take an hour to clean and grease again.

I could be wrong.................

Ditch the rear seats, loadsa room :D

Outside just makes it go rusty. Promise you they don't work so clever if them pins can't slide. They need to be clean and corrosion free ideally.

Where mine is is great for space and also for keeping lowest poss C of G but it's a pain when it's buried under camping gear.

I've only used it once tbh when I had a tyre pop off in a gulley. Any other puncture scenario I'd use bottle jack so it's not really an issue of its buried for me, don't use it enough.

Keeping it low is a big consideration for me cos it's bloody heavy.

Cheers :)
