Hi new member here. Though I'd drop in and introduce myself. I'm joey, I live on the isle of Wight with my better half (lol) we have an 02 freelander 3dr. Wanting to lift the suspension and put some big tyres on it. Any isle of Wight members?

There are a couple of Isle of wight members on here. Redviper37 is on the isle although I haven't sen him around for a month or two.

Where abouts are you on the island? I try and get over there a couple of times a year if I can.
 
Thankyou for the don't bother!!!! I asked for some advice not your negative opinion! I already own the car and would like to enhance my enjoyment of it! Sorry if this sounds nasty or upfront but I really don't understand why people feel the need to hate on some1 else wants or opinions! I live in ryde and have family in Newport.

I'd like to move over to the island in a few years time. Myself and the ballast quite like the south side of the island. We're currently watching what goes on with regards to the military road. It seems the council are determined to get rid of the tourist industry by allowing the road to just crumble away.

I'll be back over again in a few weeks time. I get withdrawl symptoms if I go too long without visiting the rainbow fishbar in freshwater.:D:D:D
 
I know it's crazy that the council have done nothing about military road! Although there are a few roads with alot nicer views! I hated the island when I 1st got here but love it now! Think they put something in the water lol!

How long have you been over there?

The only other road I can think of with a better view is Bullys Hill between Brading and Newport or have I been missing out?:eek::eek::eek::p

When did they finally get the Military road re-opened between Brook and Brighstone? I was over there during the cold/snowy snap last at the start of last december. It was bad enough avoiding the closed off section but then we had to keep doubling back due to the road closures caused by accidents on the sheet ice.
 
Oh hello to the member from Portsmouth. I used to live there but for some crazy reason moved over here! Couldn't move back now though way to hectic in Pompey for my liking now! Lol I sound like an old man! But that's how the island gets you!
