Hi all,

I went to look for an estate car yesterday and ended up buying myself an 01 Freelander TD4 GS. Was supposed to be buying the other half a birthday present but guess I got distracted.

Having done no previous research I thought I would check out what people say about the Freelander. Better late than never. After much reading on here I thought I better register as it looks like the 'How to' section might become a regular place to be. I will be picking the car up on Saturday and shall see how long it is before the warning lights start coming on as faults show their heads

Well I've had my Freelander a couple of weeks now and it just died. Reversing out of my friends drive my engine just stopped. It will not restart or even attempt to fire. Still got plenty of diesel in the tank. Engine turns over but no firing. Any ideas how to get it back to life? Will be phoning the garage as got it with a months warrenty. Shame they are not open on Sundays grrrr
