Back after a long break ....... so Hi and hope all ok ......

Need some advice on my rear offside window - currently stuck open!! Previously working fine ... then opened it today, a loud clunk when fully open and now stuck!

When You press the Up you can hear the motor working, you can pull the window up manually though it won't stay up ..... quick search on here tells me that the wire may have snapped and I need to get a new regulator.

I plan to take the door panel tomorrow for a look?

I am not very mechanical ..... so please bear with me if this sounds like ramblings of an idiot - we have to start somewhere! Btw it s a Freelander 1 Adventurer 56reg 5 door - just in case it makes a difference

Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what it could be .... and whether a novice should even try.

sounds like you have to take the door card off and have a recce in the deep, dark inside ...

Yes you do need a new window regulator. A common failure.
