Hi all,
I'm Dave from Derby just thought id say hello. Ive been a big fan of off roading / green laning since i was a kid and aways wanted to do it. Now i wanna take on the task of doing it for real. I dont have a disco as yet but i am looking as i write this :). So im defo open to usefull tips on buying a disco.

Best tip is to buy one with lots of known faults and an obvious rust problem............thus avoiding early disappointment and a feeling of being ripped off...........enjoy :D

Top buying advice for a disco is learn how to weld. Landies and welding go together like fish and chips. If you can do bits of it your self then you could save a bit. I had a 200 tdi disco for a few years and I did love it. Let us know once you have got it and if you are heading out as I am only moved to Chesterfield recently so looking for places to visit and am not a million miles away.
 
This is my new toy i hope it does the job :)
To give it my personal touch the bumpers were rusty so i sprayed the bumpers and rockslidders gloss black and all the wheels satin black as they were silver :) i took the number plate off the hd front bumper and had a number plate sticker made by a mate and put it on the bonnet as you can see.........

Then i decided turned the lights the other way on the buffalo bar lol as didnt like them the other way :)...........
