Thanks Ash, sorry was at Autoland when you called in. Ordered the new rear seal; the two cross shaped seals, sump gasket etc... should be there for the morning.

Just hoping I can do the job without LR Special tools that are listed... how hartd can it be?

looks like two bits of tube so sure you can do it without....:D

Maybe these will help ...
1&2 are for a V8i, 3 is for a 4.0 V8, acc. to Rave, I dunno.

I thought that as someone was passing on Haynes pages he might make use of what Rave says too .. :)

Spyderman - What have you done to the front of your motor??

Anyway, I had a brilliant day. Went to book the Rangie in for an MOT in the week, they said they could do it today. Was a bit nervous coz I haven't had a good check over it but it PASSED!!!!! just two minor advisories - drop arm ball joint slight play and a damaged anti-roll bar bush (no play). Happy days.

I saw the angle grinder sitting there and thought I'd have a go at improving the approach angle. The bottoms of the wings were so battered, I just chopped them off, got some aluminium trim from work and riveted it on to mask the sharp edges. The bumper ends just unbolt, not sure if I'll put them back on or not.
