Help, the bloody rocker gasket is dam near impossible to get back in, it keeps snagging at the back, how do I get it back in to the rocker cover and back onto the engine is there a trick?

A few blobs of RTV on the rocker cover and gasket should stop if sagging off the cover while refitting..

:)

Some also use a heavy sticky grease, silicon grease works well as it's got a sticky nature too it..

Your previous answer of RTV is the way, although I managed it on about the third attempt without.

I did warn you, Dopey! It is a total PITA! Sticking that half-moon shape in the back there under the bulkhead with almost no room to get even a finger in was the act of a sadist.

I popped round to give him a hand when I saw the post for help and agree what a pain in the back side, and looking at it thought about machining up a alloy half moon shape to put in with rtv and cutting that bit off the gasket to make it easier.
may look in to it for when mine needs doing.

Obviously you lot have never heard of Evostick. Cam cover bolts 11 lb ft. 15 froggy things. :D:D:D
