hi, i recently bought a defender, late 1994, it already had a 2" lift, terrafirma i believe. the front left shock had broken, so i needed to replace it, i was told if i wanted to make it better, for off road use, to put +2 terrafirma gas shocks and +2 turrets on the front. +2 gas shocks on the rear and minus 2 shock droppers on the rear,, which has been done, now its as if the truck bottoms out even over the smallest bump, can any one help me please

hi, the rear, some one has told me to get some extended rubber blocks the sit above the axles

if it has a 2" lift the shocks on the front should be +2" with standard height turrets, the back should have +2" shocks fitted to standard suspension brackets

Extended bump stops will stop the shocks from bottoming out.

Is it a noise you can hear, or is it simply too hard a ride? If it's knocking noise, maybe it's the a-frame ball joint? are the bushes all ok?
