i have this problem with my freelander every so offten i put my key in to start the car and it just clicks the power is there so its not the battery if i turn the key on and off about 5 times it just starts
Check the -ve and +ve wiring connections to the starter for burnt/loose wires, if no fault found then its the ring gear, starter motor or both u/s....simples.
