hi there all,
reading the manual to install car stereo on my 1997 p38 2.5d it asks about acc position in ignition?
I have two choices with red and yellow wires ether, red to red/yellow to yellow or red to yellow
I cant see acc on ignition, nor does the manual tell me which wiring is for acc or non acc !!!
its a pioneer deh-1700uba
any help would be great, as it states in manual the wiring can cause battery drain if connected wrong, battery drain on a p38, not bloody welcome !!!!
anyone?

If its got the Harmon Kardon radio in you`re in for a world of pain on the other hand if its the bog standard radio its more or less plug and play as I remember.

its not the HK one as tweeters have no name on them, there is a kenwood model installed,
the original radio has long gone, and seems to have standard iso type block
I just don't understand the red/yellow wire thing!

easy method 1 . . . get a voltmeter and check which wire has power with Ignition off. Then the other wire is the switched one.

easy method 2 . . . download RAVE and look it up !!

hard method 3 . . . wait for people like me to look it up and in the meantime accept all the wonderful insults from the forum !!
