got a serious oil leak on my 90. Shes fitted with a 300 tdi from a disco.

my first for of call is to get the oil filter off and have a look, replace it and the filter box gasket and pray. Has anyone experienced anything like this before and what was the cause?

filter split ,oil cooler pipes

Or could be from gasket between filter housing and engine block

ok worst case scenario

engine mount distorted, weld partially snapped, causing engine corner to drop by an inch, pushing filter and housing against mount. filter is jammer on so cant tell if its filter or housing yet.

does anyone know if oil filter system on a 300 tdi is the same as a 200 tdi?

Paddocks ERR3340 - same on both motors - check.

I've got a 300TDI oil filter housing to spare if you want it.

Swap for a few beer tokens.

housing on 200 and 300TDI's are different.
