Yep tis now GKN/HardySpicer..


Actually just googled to find out when they took em over. And they bought Birfields in the 60's Birfields also owned HardySpicer and Uni-Cardan who make De-cardan. Props. So GKN have owned em since the 60's..

We have Spicer UJ here became part of Dana corp, a division of GM

1904 - Originally incorporated in New Jersey as the 'Spicer Universal Joint Manufacturing Company', named after Clarence W. Spicer, engineer, inventor, and founder of the company;

Wonder if they are connected

FN Merkins want to put a stamp of ownership on everything!

They were using 'spider drives' in t' mills on't Spinning Jennies put didn't have any need to patent them ... till the bloody Yanks came along and nicked all our good, English inventions!
