The cooling fan stuck on this morning and the battery went flat. Now it's charged back up it won't start.

The immobiliser light on the dash just keeps flashing. And it won't lock and unlock with the Fob.

HELP!!

try re-syncing the key fob.press the buttons on the key fob from lock to unlock about 10 or so times.

It's an R - reg Disco 1

I rang the dealer and they got me the EKA code. I was then able to start her and get home.

Now the immobiliser is off but the Fob still doesn't work!

Damn it!!

Tried the button pressing 10 times thing,,, still no better

I had this problem a few weeks ago and it was water in the alarm box in the passenger footwell wiring.

Just nipped to Tesco and got a new battery for the Fob and all is well

Looks like all my frantic presses of the Fob buttons earlier today must have done the battery in.

What are the chances - Car battery and Fob battery flat in the same day.

Not had the old girl long but I have to say ------ She's a lovely motor. Just got to find what sounds like an exhaust leak and fix the cruise control and she'll be 100%.
